Method of Operation :
Displays the Periodic Table disgram.
Mouse Hover or Mouse Click on any element in the table and information about the element will appear in a pop up as shown below.
Note : if no
information appears then no properties are listed for that element in
this program.
Basic Points:-
neutral atom
X is defined as the element.
A is defined as the Mass number.
Z is defined as the Atomic number.
Basic equation :- A = Z + Neutrons
Atomic Number :- Equals the number of Protons in the atom.
Mass Number :- Equals the total of Protons and Neutrons in the
atom.
Neutrons :-Naturally charged sub-atomic particles, found in the
nucleus of the atom.
Protons :-Positively charged particles found in the nucleus of the
atom.
Electrons:- Negatively charged particles “orbiting “
around the nucleus of the atom.
Electronic Configuration : Shows the number of electrons in each
s,p,d,e,f shells for each element.
i.e. [Xe]3s refers to the element having the same electronic
configuration as XE and a 3s shell as well.
NOTES :- Boiling and melting points in brackets ( ) are
uncertain values.
With the following elements, each Molar Mass refers to its
longest-lived isotope.
