THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY HELP

Calculates the Thermal Conductivity of liquids and gases:

Chemical Data > Thermal Conductivity Data

Method of use

Liquids:

Webber equation:

k = 3.56x10^-5 Cp(d^4/M)^1/3

k = thermal conductivity, W/mC

M = molecular weight

Cp = specific heat capacity, kJ/kgC

d = density, kg/m^3

Gasses:

k = u( Cp + 10.4/M)

u = viscosity, mNs/m^2

Cp = specific heat capacity, kJ/kgC

M = molecular weight
